Michael Delmore

Michael Delmore serves as Chief Financial Officer for the City of Lancaster, Texas overseeing Utility Billing, Municipal Courts, the Country View Golf Course and treasury activities. He previously served as the CFO for the City of Brownsville, Texas and brings senior leadership experience across both public and private sectors.

A committed educator and mentor, Michael has taught government budgeting, finance and information technology courses at Stephen F. Austin State University. He is equally passionate about community service and lifelong learning.

Outside of the office, Michael is an accomplished distance runner, having completed 48 marathons, including top 15% finishes at the Boston Marathon in 1981, 2000, and 2002. His discipline on the road mirrors his leadership philosophy: pace matters, endurance wins and preparation makes all of the difference.

Michael obtained his undergraduate degree from Florida State University, his MBA from The University of West Florida and took coursework at The University of Texas at Dallas in order to meet the educational requirements for the CPA exam.
