Recently in the Permian Basin, some consumers have received phone calls from individuals claiming to be with TXU Energy. Customers are being told their power will be disconnected unless a prepaid card is purchased and a payment is made. This type of scam is nothing new, and similar scams have been reported throughout the Permian Basin.
