Beaumont Enterprise: Natural gas well in Gonzales County still burning after March 13 blowout

March 16 — EOG Resources confirmed that it lost control of a well on March 13 and that it lit on fire, which continued to burn into Friday afternoon, said company spokesman Creighton Welch. No injuries were reported and Welch confirmed that the company is working to secure the well.
