Dec. 16 — A pipeline operator self-reported and contained a saltwater spill this week that reached the Sabine River in an amount small enough that chloride levels were not affected in the waterway, the Texas Railroad Commission reported Friday.
Agency spokeswoman Ramona Nye said the operator, Indigo Minerals, alerted the commission’s Kilgore office Monday of the spill from a gathering line off FM 2011 south of Longview.
