For years, Atmos Energy has kept its leaking gas pipeline information a closely guarded secret.
Much of that changed Wednesday after the Environmental Defense Fund, teaming up with Google maps, rolled out an interactive map showing the number and severity of leaks in three regions of central Dallas.
The dots plotted on the city map represent gas leaks Google mapping vehicles detected while driving through Dallas over the past year.
