Entergy Texas wants to build a nearly $1 billion, natural gas-fired power plant north of Conroe to help power Montgomery County and beyond.
The proposed Montgomery County Power Station is a combined-cycle gas plant that would help serve Entergy’s 434,000 customers in 27 southeastern Texas counties that primarily sit to the north and east of Houston. The Entergy Texas region operates as an integrated monopoly outside of the primary, deregulated Texas grid.
