The Electric Reliability Council of Texas is on path to set another peak demand record Monday after breaking the weekend demand record Saturday.
ERCOT broke the weekend peak demand record twice Saturday, first hitting 65,666 MW during the 3-4 pm CDT hour and then reaching 66,587 MW during the 4-5 pm CDT hour. High temperatures Saturday were 102 in Dallas and 100 in Houston and San Antonio. The previous weekend record was 65,159 MW set August 28, 2011.
