As Texans, we’re justifiably proud our state’s status as the largest producer of oil, natural gas and wind energy in the nation, and its our electricity costs are below average; and yet Texas families are spending more on their utility bills than many other Americans. In a state where energy production is booming, many will be surprised to learn our newest untapped energy source is in their own home.
