Fracking has been an economic boon for Texas, though oil prices and the drilling slump this has produced have made this less so these days. No doubt, however, bust will become boom again. But Texas must not reap rewards without also performing proper due diligence on behalf of public safety.
Making the ingredients of this fracking “secret sauce” more transparent would accomplish that.
