May 2 — The top-10 counties stayed the same with Midland and Martin County again keeping their lock on the top-two positions. And percentage-wise, it also was more of the same. Midland and Martin counties produced 21.3 percent of the 98.958 million barrels in the state of Texas during the month. Also, the nine Permian counties in the top 10 made up 52.5 percent of the total across the state. In January, those percentages were 21.2 and 52.4 percent respectively.
