NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) –
Oncor customers in Nacogdoches County are among the first to receive advanced electric meters. Similar work is underway for Deep East Texas Electric Co-op.
Oncor is in its first week of installing more than 3 million advanced meters throughout its service area.
The Public Utility Commission gave the order. It wants a two-way communications between the utility and meter.
