NextEra Energy, the Florida-based power company, is upping the ante in its bid to take over the Texas transmission company Oncor.
As the Energy Future Holdings bankruptcy continues to unfold in federal court, NextEra has opted to outbid itself in what appears to be turning into a bidding war with the team of Hunt Consolidated and the Teacher Retirement System of Texas.
