The Railroad Commission of Texas regulates oil and gas production. They are aware of the incident and issued a statement in regards to the explosion. It reads, “Protection of public safety and our natural resources is the Railroad Commission’s highest priority. The Commission was notified of an explosion and fire at a Lewis Petro Properties facility and a Commission inspector is en route to the site. There is no known cause at this time.”
