The Electric Reliability Council of Texas expects tight energy reserves this summer according to ERCOT president and CEO Trip Doggett in his Tuesday quarterly update to the Senate Business & Commerce Committee.

According to Doggett, there is also a significant chance that ERCOT will need to declare an Energy Emergency Alert on multiple occasions during the summer of 2012. The EEA declarations, however, will not likely result in the need for rotating outages.
